Day 1 : Arrive in Delhi

You are starting in the capital of India, Delhi. In case you are flying in a different city, arrive at your hotel and rest some time first before you start visiting.

Begin with India gate, a war memorial, which is dedicated to the Indian soldiers and then take a drive along the Rajpath to visit Rashtrapati bhavan (the House of the President) and Parliament House. After that, go to the Humayun Tomb which is a beautiful UNESCO world heritage site that inspired the construction of Taj Mahal. During the afternoon, go to Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world, and observe the elaborate carvings. Day 2 : Explore Delhi

Spend the second day in the Old Delhi crowded streets and monuments. Begin with the early visit to the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, known as Raj Ghat, then it goes to the great Red Fort, the representation of the Mughal power and buildings.

Next, visit Jama Masjid, which is one of the biggest mosques in India and have a ride by a rickshaw in Chandni Chowk, the place of the narrow streets, the colorful markets, and the street food. Providing that time is not an issue, go to the peaceful Lotus Temple or take a trip to Akshardham Temple, where a brilliant light-and-sound show can be seen in the evening. Go back to your hotel and sleep over preparing about the next part of your trip.

Day 3 : Visit Agra

Wake up in Morning and after breakfast, visit Agra through Yamuna Expressway (approximately 3-4 hours). On arrival, get into your hotel and begin sightseeing in Agra with the magnificent Taj Mahal the final epitome of love. You can be amazed by its white marble exterior and carvings and peaceful gardens and get acquainted with the story of love between Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal.

During the afternoon, visit Agra Fort, another UNESCO world heritage site which was the royal residence of the Mughal emperors. Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Aam and Musamman Burj are places of must-see in the fort.

Otherwise, visit Agra local markets, where one can find marble handicrafts, leather wares and traditional souvenirs. To have a memorable sight, consider going to Mehtab Bagh during the evening so that one can have the sight of the Taj Mahal shinning at sunset across the Yamuna River. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 4 : Leave for Jaipur

Eat breakfast early and leave your hotel and drive to Jaipur. On the way, visit a deserted Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri constructed by Emperor Akbar. Visit such landmarks like Buland Darwaza(Victory Gate), Panch Mahal and the tomb of Salim Chishti before proceeding with your journey.

Reach Jaipur in the evening and get into your hotel. Spend the evening walking around the colorful Johari Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar where you will be able to buy colorful textile, jewelry and handcraft products. When it comes to dinner, prefer a roof-top restaurant at Hawa Mahal so as to have a spectacular view of the lit palace. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5 : Explore Jaipur and departure

The last day is devoted to sightseeing in the Pink City of Jaipur. Start the day with a morning visit to the hill top Amber Fort that has a spectacular view of Aravalli hills. Ride on a jeep or an elephant to the fort and visit Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Ganesh Pol and its lovely courtyards.

Then move to the Jal Mahal or the palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake and that is ideal to take pictures. Proceed to City Palace, the former royal palace which is converted to museums and displays of royal artifacts and costumes. Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory (UNESCO) is not to be missed.

You can visit Albert Hall Museum or Birla Mandir, in case you have time before you leave. Ok, back to Delhi (or straight to Jaipur Airport) and continue with your further trip, with the priceless memories of the Golden Triangle of India.
