The first stop on our itinerary is none other than the Govardhan parvat and temple. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan Parvat on his little finger to protect the people of Mathura from torrential rains sent by Lord Indra. The Parikrama is a way to pay homage to Lord Krishna and seek his blessings. So get a good night's sleep the previous day, wake up at the crack of dawn, and head towards the Govaradhan parvat in Mathura for the famous parikrama.
