After an early morning breakfast, enjoy a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Pahalgam, a picturesque hill town and the traditional starting point of the Amarnath Yatra.

Pahalgam, also referred to as the "Valley of Shepherds," is renowned for its lush green grassy meadows, thick pine forests, and peaceful Lidder River. Spend the day relaxing at your hotel upon reaching the destination amidst the valley's scenic beauty. Optional tour points are Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Baisaran, each with captivating views and peaceful surroundings.

Day 3 : Chandanwari to Sheshnag – Trek

The yatra proper starts with a road journey to Chandanwari (16 km from Pahalgam), the beginning of the traditional trekking route.

Pilgrims have two principal options to reach the Amarnath Cave:

Trekking: A strenuous but scenic 12 km trek from Chandanwari to Sheshnag, passing through breathtaking valleys, alpine meadows, and sparkling water streams.

Helicopter Service: Pilgrims also have an option of taking a helicopter from Pahalgam or Neelgrath (Baltal) to Panchtarni and thereby cutting down the trek significantly.

After reaching Sheshnag, a stunningly gorgeous high-altitude lake surrounded by snow peaks, rest in your reserved campsite or tented stay. Rest in spiritual contemplation and preparation for the next-day climb.

On arrival, take the holy darshan of the Ice Shiva Lingam, a divine spiritual experience for all the pilgrims. Catching a glimpse of this natural marvel, amidst the chanting of "Har Har Mahadev," is an experience that defies description.

Subsequently, take the trekking path to Panchtarni (6 km, approx. 4 hours), the next stop for the onward journey. Pilgrims here take advantage of resting in camps or pre-booked tent facilities for the night.

Overnight stay at Panchtarni.
