Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival at Delhi – Welcome to India
After your arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi, our representative from Travel to India will welcome and receive you and escort you to your hotel. You may relax for the rest of the day or walk around independently in the vibrant Connaught Place with plenty of restaurants and shops. Or in case you want to explore more, you can visit a local marketplace as well or take local food. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 2 : Delhi Sightseeing – The Heart of India
Begin the day in the morning after breakfast on a day tour of Delhi, the heart of India. Begin the day with a trip to the stunning Red Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and then move to Qutub Minar, which is the tallest minaret in the world made of bricks. Visit India Gate, a memorial to Indian war heroes, and then move to the majesty of Humayun's Tomb, another of India's UNESCO monuments. Stop by the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, and get a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk's bustling roads. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dance or cultural performance. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3 : Delhi to Agra – The Eternal Taj Mahal
Breakfast, and drive to Agra, site of one of the world's most famous spots – the Taj Mahal. See this lovely white marble tomb constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. Then, call on the Agra Fort, the massive fortress with imposing Mughal architecture. Or else, visit the Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb, also known as the "Baby Taj." Shop in the local bazaars and buy handicrafts or souvenirs. Overnight stay at Agra.
Day 4 : Agra to Jaipur – En Route Fatehpur Sikri
Morning after breakfast, drive to Jaipur. En route visit abandoned Mughal city and UNESCO World Heritage site Fatehpur Sikri. Explore its beautiful structures, Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and Tomb of Salim Chishti. Drive ahead to Jaipur and, after reaching, take your lunch and then check into your hotel. Rest or roam around local bazaars. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 5 : Jaipur Sightseeing – Explore the Pink City
Breakfast, and begin to discover Jaipur. See the stunning Amber Fort, where you can ride an elephant or drive up a jeep to the entrance. Inside, walk through the gilded palaces, courtyards, and breathtaking frescoes. Next, see the City Palace, the fusion of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture, and the Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomy observatory. Do not miss the stunning Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) famous for its beautifully latticed windows. Free evening to stroll in local bazaars for colorful crafts and clothes. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 6 : Khajuraho – The Erotic Art Temples
Breakfast, flight to Khajuraho where the temples featured on UNESCO fame exist famous for their beautiful sensual sculptures. Upon arrival, check into a hotel and rest. Later, take a sightseeing tour to visit the world-renowned Western Group of Temples, consisting of the beautiful Kandariya Mahadev Temple, Lakshmana Temple, and Vishwanatha Temple. These temples are well-liked by people for their magnificent architecture and intricate sculptures showing all segments of life, including gods, animals, and erotica. Overnight at Khajuraho.
Day 7 : Khajuraho – Visit the Eastern Group of Temples
In the morning after breakfast, proceed further the exploration of the temple of Khajuraho. Take a tour of the Eastern Group of Temples like Parsvanath Temple and Adinatha Temple, which are famous for their exquisite carvings. The temples here are more tranquil and serene compared to temples in the Western Group. Spend your afternoon relaxing in your hotel or promenading around the local bazaar to shop for buys as souvenirs. Evening, cultural dance presentation on Khajuraho's heritage. Overnight at Khajuraho.
Day 8 : Khajuraho to Varanasi – The Spiritual Heart of India
Breakfast, and morning flight to Varanasi, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities and sacred Hindu pilgrimage center. Arrive in Varanasi and check into your hotel. Evening visit to the world-famous Varanasi Ghats, where pilgrims bathe in the Ganges River. Witness the stunning Ganga Aarti, a prayer of worship performed at the Dashashwamedh Ghat. Watching the scores of lamps and listening to the chanting of the mantras create a spiritually enriching ambiance. Overnight at Varanasi.
Day 9 : Varanasi – Spiritual Discovery
Wake up early in the morning to go for an early morning boat ride on the Ganges River, where sunrise can be observed over the ghats and you can have a glimpse of people's day-to-day life in Varanasi. Then go to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most sacred temples of Lord Shiva. Other popular temples where you can go are the Durga Temple and the Bharat Mata Temple. Afternoon visit of Sarnath, where the first sermon by Buddha after enlightenment was preached. Return to Varanasi and spend a relaxing evening. Overnight stay at Varanasi.
Day 10 : Varanasi to Delhi – Back to the Capital
Morning after breakfast, fly back to Delhi. On arrival, check into the hotel and the remaining day at leisure. You can go to museums, shop at Dilli Haat or Hauz Khas Village for souvenirs, or explore the city on your own. If desired, eat out at a local restaurant or attend a cultural show in the evening. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 11 : Delhi – Leisure Day
The day is yours to relax or visit more of Delhi. You can opt to visit places like sightseeing in Lodhi Gardens, Qutub Minar, or Lotus Temple. Or you can pass the day shopping, visiting art galleries, or just hang around a café. This evening, you will have a traditional Indian dinner at one of Delhi's finest restaurants. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 12 : Departure from Delhi
Breakfast, followed by, as per your flight schedule, we will drop you at Delhi International Airport for further departure. Take with you the happy memories of India's miraculous heritage, lively culture, and divine wealth.
