Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi & City Exploration

Your travels start in Delhi, India's capital, where you'll be greeted at the airport or of your choice by a private driver arranged by Travel to India. The city is a seamless combination of old-world and new-world style.

The day begins with a visit to India Gate, an Indian war memorial. The second visit is to Humayun's Tomb, a lovely piece of architecture that gave rise to building the Taj Mahal. A tour to Lotus Temple, whose flower-formed building is breathtaking, is a peaceful haven.

A trip to Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, provides us with an insight into the medieval past of Delhi. The day concludes with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, where the narrow shopping streets are filled with the aroma of old Indian sweets and spices.

Day 2 : Delhi to Agra – The City of Love

After breakfast, take a 3-4 hour drive on the Yamuna Expressway to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. Relax at your hotel and get ready for a day of Mughal grandeur.

The trip to the Taj Mahal is an experience which will remain etched in your memory for life. Emperor Shah Jahan built this ivory-white marble mausoleum to serve as a tribute to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a testimony of everlasting love.

Then, visit the Agra Fort, a imposing red sandstone fort that served as the major residence of the Mughal emperors. The imperial halls and gardens of the fort reflect the pomp and glory of the Mughal Empire.

Day 3 : Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri

Breakfast and drive to Jaipur, the Pink City of India, via a visit to Fatehpur Sikri, a breathtaking but deserted Mughal capital. The city, a World Heritage site by UNESCO, constructed by Emperor Akbar, has architectural marvels like Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and Tomb of Salim Chishti.

On arrival in Jaipur, the day begins with a visit to Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of Winds, renowned for its delicate pink sandstone facade. The tour then proceeds to City Palace, which is a vast complex with museums, courtyards, and the palace of the royal family.

Evening walk around Johari Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar, where one can shop through Rajasthani handicrafts, clothes, and traditional jewelry.

Day 4 : Jaipur Sightseeing – The Royal Experience

Begin the day by going to Amber Fort, the most picturesque area of Jaipur. Located on a hilltop, the fort reveals Rajput glory in the form of elegant palaces, courtyards, and the legendary Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace).

On the way back from Amber Fort, head past Jal Mahal, the floating palace of Jaipur, floating above Man Sagar Lake.

A tour of the Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site astro-nomical observatory in the whole world, will reveal the avid interest Jaipur takes in science and astronomy. Day 5 : Jaipur to Mandawa – The Open-Air Art Gallery

Drive for 4 hours from breakfast to Mandawa, a village in Rajasthan's Shekhawati belt that is renowned for its beautifully painted havelis. Check-in to your heritage hotel and prepare to see the art treasures of Mandawa.

Day 6 : Delhi to Mandawa – The Backtrack
