Day 1 : Explore Jaipur

Land in Jaipur and get accommodated in your selected hotel or heritage haveli. The first day is to be spent in the very center of Jaipur, and the first attraction is the City Palace, which accommodates museums, courtyards and royal souvenirs demonstrating the magnificence of the Rajput rulers. 

Stroll out to the Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, a world heritage site of the UNESCO, and whose dwarfy stone mechanisms still keep track of time and find the stars with astonishing precision. During the night, visit the global Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and observe the transformation of the building full of honeycombs by the sunset. Then go round Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar and purchase textiles, gemstones and blue pottery. Day 2 : Jaipur Sightseeing

Spend the day in the great forts and palaces of Jaipur. Start with the Amber Fort, which is a beautiful fort which is situated on a hill. One can ride an elephant or drive a jeep to the fort and have a look around its Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Ganesh Pol, and Diwan-i-Aam. On the way back, visit Jal Mahal, the beautiful water palace which appears to be suspended in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake and which is ideal in terms of photographs. Subsequently, go to Jaigarh Fort with the largest known wheeled cannon in the world and Nahargarh Fort that provides one with the panoramic view of Jaipur. Have a cultural evening at Chokhi Dhani, which is a recreated Rajasthani village where you can experience folk dances, traditional music, ride camels and have a grand Rajasthani thali. Day 3 : Arrive in Agra

Have breakfast and leave Jaipur, and drive to Agra but on the way visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted Mughal capital constructed by Emperor Akbar. Before proceeding with your trip, visit the Buland Darwaza (Victory Gate), Panch Mahal and the white marble tomb of Salim Chishti. Reach Agra and get into the hotel. During the evening, go to Mehtab Bagh which is the moonlit garden on Yamuna River banks to see the magical scene of the Taj Mahal setting. It is a less busy place where you can enjoy the monument. Dinner and night stay in Agra.

Day 4 : Explore Agra

The best way to see the Taj Mahal is early in the morning when the sun is rising and this will be a really breathtaking experience indeed as the building has truly been hailed as one of the most awe-proclaiming structures in the world. The white marble monument varies colors with the initial sun rays, watch. Eat breakfast and then go and visit the Agra Fort, the great red sandstone castle where the Mughal emperors held their sway. You would not want to skip the Musamman Burj, which is believed to have been the place Shah Jahan spent his final years staring at the Taj Mahal. Then go to the Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, otherwise known as the Baby Taj due to its elaborate work in marble lattice. Browse some time in the markets of Agra buying marble handicrafts, leather goods and petha (sweet Agra specialty). In the evening, reach Delhi (about 3-4 hours) and get yourself a room in a hotel to spend the night.

Day 5 : Explore Delhi and Depart

Use your last day to experience the rich Indian culture, as with Delhi. Begin with India Gate, then take a drive around the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Parliament House which showcases their architecture during British rule. In the morning walk around Humayun tomb, one of the loveliest garden tombs and a prototype of Taj Mahal and subsequently visit Qutub minar, the highest brick minar in the world. To feel the taste of Old Delhi, visit Jama Masjid, one of the biggest mosques in India and take a ride with a rickshaw throughout Chandni Chowk, where one can have a taste of street foods like parathas, jalebis, spicy chaats, etc. Suppose there is time, go to Raj Ghad, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and then take a plane or a train to continue on your journey.
