Day 1 : Hyderabad to Delhi – Delhi to Haridwar (Flight + 210 km road transfer)

The Hyderabad to Char Dham Yatra, begins with a flight from Hyderabad to Delhi, where a representative from Travel to India warmly welcomes you. From Delhi, drive to Haridwar, one of the seven holiest cities in India, nestled on the banks of the sacred River Ganga. After checking into your hotel, spend your evening at Har Ki Pauri, witnessing the soulful Ganga Aarti as priests perform rituals with fire lamps and chants that echo through the air. This spiritually uplifting start to your yatra sets the tone for the days ahead.

Day 2 : Haridwar to Barkot (210 km / approx. 7–8 hrs)

After a satiating breakfast, proceed towards Barkot, a serene hill station at the foot of Yamunotri. Traveling via roads of Mussoorie's town and charming Mussoorie indicates you picture-postcard views of rolling hills and verdant valleys. After reaching Barkot, overnight at a reserved hotel or campsite. Spend the remaining evening at leisure and unwinding for the next day's sightseeing at the first dham.

Day 3 : Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (42 km drive + 6 km trek one way)

Early morning wake up and drive to Jankichatti, the trekking starting point for Yamunotri, the source of River Yamuna. The 6 km trek is on foot along a steep path, or pony or palki can be taken on direct payment. Upon arrival at Yamunotri Temple, dip into the Surya Kund, a natural hot water spring, and pay your obeisance at the temple devoted to Goddess Yamuna. After darshan, come back down to Jankichatti and drive on to Barkot by late afternoon. The holy ambiance of Yamunotri invigorates your spirit and makes your heart strong for the rest of the journey.

Day 4 : Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km / approx. 4–5 hrs)

Post-breakfast, set out for Uttarkashi, a sacred town located on the banks of river Bhagirathi. The journey is not lengthy but a scenic one, bordered by apple orchards and lush slopes. Upon arrival, check in at a hotel and in the afternoon visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples of North India. Uttarkashi holds tremendous religious significance as a center of spiritual studies and Vedic learning as well. The serene riverbanks and sacred atmosphere make it a perfect halting point before one moves towards Gangotri.

Day 5 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km ahead and back)

Embark on a sacred drive today to Gangotri, origin of the Ganges River. The trip goes through marvelous Himalayan landscape and pine groves. Upon arrival at Gangotri Temple, which is 3,100 meters above sea level, worship Goddess Ganga. Pilgrims typically take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River prior to entering the temple. Spend a few quiet minutes meditating by the riverfront before heading back to Uttarkashi for the night. The pristine surroundings and strong vibrations of Gangotri make this a true experience worth not missing.

Day 6 : Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (230 km / approx. 8–9 hrs)

Leave early and embark on the long drive to Guptkashi, located in the valley of the Mandakini River. The drive is picturesque, with river confluences, passes through mountains, and rural villages. On the way, get glimpses of Devprayag, where Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet to form the Ganga. On reaching Guptkashi, stay in a hotel. Visit the Vishwanath Temple and the Ardhnareshwar Temple, symbolizing the union divine of Shiva and Parvati. This primes you for the highly anticipated visit to Kedarnath the following morning.

Day 7 : Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Guptkashi (Drive + Trek/Helicopter)

The most spiritually fulfilling day of the yatra begins as you journey to Gaurikund, the start of the 18 km trek to Kedarnath Temple. The trek, though arduous, is punctuated by "Har Har Mahadev" chants and stunning Himalayan vistas. Or take a helicopter service booked by Travel to India for a more convenient journey (on request, extra cost).

Upon reaching Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, worship in the ancient stone temple surrounded by snow-covered mountains. The temple's ambiance is one-of-a-kind—filled with spiritual fervor and piety. After darshan, return to Guptkashi in the evening. Depending on choice and weather, overnight stay at Kedarnath (if chosen) can also be arranged.

Day 8 : Guptkashi – Badrinath – Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Delhi – Hyderabad (Combo return journey)

The final dham, Badrinath, awaits you while driving through Joshimath, a significant pilgrimage town and Lord Badrinarayan's winter home. Upon reaching Badrinath Temple, have a sacred bath in the Tapt Kund before offering prayers at the majestic temple of Lord Vishnu. Visit nearby points of interest like Mana Village, the final Indian village on route to the Tibetan border, Vyas Gufa, and Bhimpul.

From here, begin your return journey back through Rudraprayag and Rishikesh. If you have your time and wish to do so, you may halt at Rishikesh overnight or directly head to Delhi to board your return flight to Hyderabad, bringing to a conclusion this sacred journey with divine blessings and cherished memories.
