Day 1 : Delhi to Kolkata - Haridwar (Flight + Drive)

Your spiritual journey begins from Kolkata as you depart by a morning flight from Kolkata to Delhi. After arrival at the Delhi Airport, you are greeted by a Travel to India representative. Then a relaxing drive awaits you to Haridwar, one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism. The city overlooking the sacred Ganga River is renowned for spiritual ambiance and living temple culture.

Evening: Watch the renowned Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, where thousands of devotees pray and lit oil lamps on the riverbank. Day 2 : Haridwar to Guptkashi (Drive – 210 km / 8-9 hrs)

After a healthy breakfast, embark on a long and scenic drive to Guptkashi, a scenic hill station on the banks of Mandakini River. The drive is a winding ride on twisting roads and stunning vistas of the Garhwal Himalayas. During the journey, you get to drive through scenic small towns and cross holy river confluences like Devprayag and Rudraprayag, where Alaknandi and Mandakini Rivers converge.

Guptkashi has mythological importance and has the Vishwanath Temple and Ardhnareshwar Temple. Both temples are old and have peaceful oases of quietude where pilgrims offer their prayers before proceeding further to Kedarnath. Rest here, book a hotel room, dinner, and relaxation to prepare one for the spirituality of the second day.

Day 3 : Guptkashi to Kedarnath (Drive to Gaurikund + 18 km trek)

This is the religious peak of your Char Dham Yatra—your Kedarnath pilgrimage, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a Lord Shiva temple. Early morning drive to Gaurikund, base for trekking to Kedarnath (16–18 km away). On choice, walk or ride pony, palanquin, or helicopter service (on prior booking at extra expense).

The trek is a spiritual and physical journey, with pilgrims chanting mantras, singing bhajans, and offering prayers along the way. Upon reaching Kedarnath Temple, located at an elevation of 3,583 meters, you’ll witness a divine atmosphere unlike any other. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the ancient stone temple stands as a symbol of unwavering faith and cosmic energy.

Following darshan and performance of the ritual, spend a night in a guesthouse or dharamshala near the temple. Relax and enjoy the profound stillness which radiates from this center of the soul.

Day 4 : Kedarnath to Guptkashi (Trek + Drive)

Start the day at the crack of dawn with prayers at the Kedarnath Temple. Catch a glimpse of the mythical sunrise on the Himalayan peaks if weather conditions permit. Have breakfast and walk down to Gaurikund and drive back to Guptkashi. Return trip with much introspection and thankfulness for the divinely bestowed blessings.

On arrival at Guptkashi, rest, lunch and check-in. It is a day of physical as well as mental rest, preparing for the next Dham—Badrinath.

Day 5 : Guptkashi to Badrinath (Drive – 190 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, head towards Badrinath, one of the most sacred Vishnu temples in India. The journey to Badrinath is as majestic as the destination itself. Along the way, you’ll pass through Joshimath, Govindghat, and picturesque landscapes dominated by alpine meadows, snow-capped peaks, and the gushing Alaknanda River.

On reaching, have a sacred dip in the hot water spring Tapt Kund, which is believed to purify the soul before entering the temple. Proceed for darshan at Badrinath Temple, where the spontaneously created black stone image of Lord Vishnu, in meditative posture, welcomes the pilgrims from across the globe. The image is believed to be over 1,000 years old.

Go to the other spiritual sites nearby such as Mana Village (last Indian village on China border), Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Bhim Pul. All of them have their own Mahabharata legend and add to your spiritual experience.

Day 6 : Badrinath to Rishikesh – Delhi – Kolkata (Drive + Flight)

Once done with morning darshan and breakfast, start for the return trip. Descend to the yoga, spirituality, and peaceful riverside city of Rishikesh. Catch Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, or witness tranquil Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat if timely.
